Welcome to the EPC-GATE web page! My name is Julia Glover and I am the program coordinator for the East Poinsett County Gifted and Talented Education program. As coordinator of our school’s G/T program, I work with the Arkansas State Department of Education in providing a state mandated program whose aim is to provide challenging opportunities to students in our school from grades K-12. I teach at the elementary on both campuses in Lepanto and Tyronza. The elementary theme this year is "Wild about Learning!". I teach whole class enrichment activities in grades K-3, as well as a pullout class for identified students in grades 4-6. The unit of study for grades 4-6 will be "Navigating the Mississippi River". Students in grades 7-12 are provided enrichment opportunities through Pre-AP and AP classes and Stock Market Team competition, which is sponsored by Veta Hall one of the secondary math teachers. I continue to offer Chess Club and Quiz Bowl Team practice during the lunch period for Jr. High and Sr. High students.
